This spring, the Voyagers will return to the Siena Center in Racine, Wisconsin, for our regular meeting.
The general focus of the meeting is Pastoral Care through the lens of Bowen Theory. Within that broad focus we will look at the aging process and funerals. On Wednesday we will invite congregational leaders from the community to participate.
In addition to presentations we will have family of origin groups, case studies and our traditional Voyagers Night Out (Dutch treat). Because the Siena Center is, literally, in Carol Jeunnette’s back yard, we will use her home for some hospitality time.
We begin at 1:30 on Tuesday, March 17 and finish up by noon on Friday, March 20.
Transportation: It is possible to fly into either Milwaukee Airport (MKE) or O’Hare Airport (ORD). If you fly into Milwaukee on Tuesday morning, we will provide transportation to the Siena Center. If you fly into O’Hare, check out the Coach Shuttle Express from O’Hare to Racine. We will make arrangements to pick people up at the Racine stop on Tuesday morning. (Amtrak is another option for the adventurous! Make Caledonia, WI your final destination and someone will pick you up at the train station.) If you need transportation for the final trip to the Siena Center, send your arrival information, at least a week in advance, to Carol Jeunnette.
Because we made money on the last gathering, for this meeting the registration fee is reduced from $300 to $100. The annual membership fee remains at $100.
Lodging and meals is $400. (This includes lodging on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners).
Please use this link to register. When you have completed the registration process, please print the final payment page and send it, with a check, to our treasurer, Damon Laaker. (His address is on the payment page.)
Registration Deadline is February 28. Past this date we are unable to guarantee a room at the Siena Center.
