Voyagers in Virginia, Spring, 2023

The Voyagers will return to “home base” for our spring meeting in 2023. The plan is to be “in person” for this meeting. (If there is interest in an online option, we can make that happen. Contact Carol, please.)

Speakers and presentations for our meeting include The Rev. Dr. Randy Frost, the Director of the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family, David Goodine on the biological basis of emotional process, Ed Henley with a continued look at Christian Nationalism through a systems lens, and Carol Jeunnette with a systems consideration of clergy sexual misconduct. We also will continue the discussion begun in Albuquerque (with Kathy Wiseman) on the intertwined branches of clergy and Bowen Theory. As usual, there will be Family of Origin groups (including an online group if needed), the opportunity for case studies, and look at the upcoming lectionary through a systems lens.

Registration is $300.

The Room and Meals cost for the Staybridge is as follows: Single-occupancy suite for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is $480. Double-occupancy (one bedroom suite, please arrange your own roommate) is $250 per person. This includes breakfast on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and a light dinner with beer or wine on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will have our traditional Dutch-treat “Voyagers’ Night Out” at J.Gilberts on Thursday. 

The hotel shuttle bus is not running. You will need to call use a cab/Uber to get from the Metro to the hotel.

The annual Membership Fee ($100) has been reinstated for 2023. You may pay that with your registration.
